BreakFree Coatings (accessible at breakfreecoatings.com) is owned and operated by Luvvitt LLC (“Luvvitt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Luvvitt respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our websites, products, and services. It applies to information collected through:

  • Our website breakfreecoatings.com and any other online site or service controlled by Luvvitt LLC that links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Sites”).

  • Our mobile or web applications, if any (collectively, the “App”).

  • Our online e-commerce transactions and warranty/service plan registrations (e.g., the Luvvitt Screen Protection Plan portal; please note that the Plan is governed by its own Terms of Service).

  • Our social media pages and communications with you (emails, customer support, etc.).

  • Offline contacts (such as phone support or events) related to our products and services.

By accessing or using our Services or by otherwise providing us with personal information, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services or provide personal data.

1. Scope of this Policy

(This section is identical to the getprooftech.com policy above.)

This Privacy Policy covers the Services, meaning all Luvvitt websites, apps, social media pages, emails, and offline interactions described above, and explains how we handle information from all users of our Services.

It does not cover third-party services or websites that we do not control (see Section 7 for third-party links).

If you provide us personal information about someone else, you confirm you have their permission to do so.

2. Information We Collect

(This section is identical to the getprooftech.com policy above.)

We collect Personal Information (which identifies you) and Non-Personal Information (which does not directly identify you).

Personal Information we collect may include:

  • Contact Information (name, email, address, phone, etc.),

  • Account Credentials (username, password),

  • Payment Information (card details, billing info),

  • Device and Order Details (device type, serial, purchase info, etc. for product registrations),

  • Customer Support Information (communications content and contact info when you reach out),

  • Identifiers (IP address, device ID),

  • Demographics (optional info like age, gender, etc., if provided).

Non-Personal Information (usage data) we collect may include:

  • Browsing Information (pages visited, clicks, timestamps, referrer URL),

  • Device Information (IP, browser type, OS, device model),

  • Analytics Data (via tools like Google Analytics, capturing usage patterns),

  • Cookies and Similar Technologies data (tracking user interactions across devices; see Section 5 for details).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (like SSN, driver’s license numbers, health data, etc.) through regular use of our Services. Please do not submit such data unless explicitly requested for a specific service.

3. How We Collect Information

(Identical to above policy.)

We collect information directly from you (e.g., when you make a purchase, create an account, fill forms, contact support, or post content), automatically (through cookies and logs as you interact with our site/app), from business partners (like details of your purchase from Amazon to honor a warranty, or your name/email from social login, or aggregated ad performance data from marketing partners), and from service plan administration (information you provide or that our insurance partners provide during warranty or coverage claims).

4. How We Use Your Information

(Identical usage purposes as above.)

We use personal information to fulfill orders and provide services (process orders, register plans, process payments, prevent fraud, support app functionality), for customer service (answer inquiries, provide tech support), for communications (send order updates, important notices), for marketing (with consent, send promotions or show ads related to Luvvitt products; you can opt out of emails anytime), for personalization (remember preferences, improve your experience, analyze usage to improve offerings), for business operations/improvements (analyze usage trends to enhance products, develop new features, fix issues), and for legal/security reasons (protect our systems and users, enforce terms, comply with laws or legal requests, and handle legal claims).

We only use your info for the purposes it was collected (or related purposes), unless we get your consent or as required/allowed by law.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

(Identical cookie policy as above.)

We use cookies and similar tools to enhance your experience. Cookies are small files on your device to remember your actions/preferences. We use essential cookies (necessary for site function, cannot opt out), analytics cookies (to understand site usage, e.g., Google Analytics, aggregated data), functional cookies (to remember preferences like language or region), and advertising/targeting cookies (to track browsing for personalized ads, possibly set by us or partners like Google Ads or Facebook Pixel).

You can manage cookies via browser settings (note: disabling all cookies can break site features like cart or login), use opt-out tools (Google Analytics opt-out, industry opt-out sites for ad cookies), and adjust preferences through our cookie consent banner or preference center (shown where legally required).

We also use pixel tags and local storage for similar tracking purposes, and currently do not respond to Do Not Track signals (we apply the same standards to all users due to no agreed DNT standard).

6. How We Share Information

(Identical sharing practices as above.)

We do not sell your personal info for money, but we share info with third parties for business/legal reasons:

  • Service Providers: Third parties performing services for us (payment processors, shipping carriers, web hosting and IT support providers, email delivery services, analytics and advertising partners, customer support platforms). They get only the info needed for their tasks (e.g., shipping carrier gets your address) and must protect it and use it only for our specified purposes under contract.

  • Affiliates: Our related brands or companies under Luvvitt LLC, who may receive information for uses aligned with this policy (e.g., central customer account management or combined marketing efforts). They must also protect your data in line with this policy.

  • Business Partners: Joint offerings with other companies (co-branded products, promotions). If you partake, we share info with those partners as needed to administer the offering. We will tell you at collection if a partner is involved.

  • Legal Compliance and Protection: We may disclose info to comply with legal obligations (like a court order or government request), to protect our rights or safety or that of others, or to enforce our terms or investigate fraud/security issues.

  • In the Event of a Transaction: If we undergo a business change (merger, acquisition, sale of assets, etc.), your data may be transferred to the new owner as part of that deal. We would ensure the new owner upholds similar privacy commitments (or obtain your consent if required by law).

  • With Your Consent: For any situation not covered above where we want to share your info, we will ask for your consent. (For example, using your testimonial on our site or sharing your info if you opt in to an external referral program would only be done with permission.)

  • Non-Personal/Aggregate Sharing: We might share aggregated data that does not identify you (e.g., usage statistics or general customer demographics) with third parties. This information contains no personal identifiers.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

(Identical disclaimer as above.)

Our site may contain links or integrations involving third parties (like external websites, social media plug-ins, or third-party payment options). Examples include links to review blogs, embedded Facebook/Instagram widgets, or redirecting you to Apple Pay/Google Pay for checkout.

This Privacy Policy does not apply once you leave our site or engage with a third-party feature. Those third parties will have their own privacy policies and terms, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

8. Data Security

(Identical security measures as above.)

We protect your data with measures like encryption (HTTPS/TLS for data in transit; secure, PCI-compliant payment processing), access controls (restricting data access to authorized personnel and partners under confidentiality obligations), security tools (firewalls, intrusion detection, anti-virus, etc.), staff training in data protection, and system monitoring for vulnerabilities.

Despite our efforts, no internet or electronic storage method is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. You should also help protect your data (for example, keep your password confidential and use a strong password).

If you believe your data may no longer be secure (e.g., you suspect your account has been compromised), please contact us immediately (see Section 12).

9. Data Retention

(Identical retention policy as above.)

We retain personal data as long as needed for the purposes it was collected, or as required for legal/accounting reasons. For instance:

  • Purchase and registration records are kept at least through the warranty or service plan period and any additional legally required period.

  • Account data is kept while your account is active; if you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your info except where law requires retention (e.g., transaction records).

  • Marketing contact info is kept until you opt out; after opting out, we may keep your email on a suppression list to ensure we don’t send future emails.

  • Web analytics data is kept according to our configuration (e.g., Google Analytics data may be retained for 14 months before deletion).

  • Warranty claim or support case data is retained while resolving the issue and for a time after in case of disputes or audits.

When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize personal data. If immediate deletion is not possible (e.g., data is in backups), we securely store it and isolate it until it can be deleted.

10. Children’s Privacy

(Identical to above.)

Our services are not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use our site or send us information.

If we find we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without proper consent, we will delete it. If you are a parent/guardian and suspect your child has provided personal information, contact us immediately so we can investigate and take action.

11. Your Rights and Choices

(Identical to above.)

We provide all users ways to control their data. You can update your information (via account settings or by contacting us), opt out of marketing emails (via unsubscribe links, though we’ll still send transactional messages as needed), and manage cookies/tracking as described in Section 5.

California Residents: You have rights to know, access, delete, correct, and opt-out of the sale/sharing of your personal information, as well as the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your data for money, but if any sharing is deemed a “sale”/“share” under California law (for targeted advertising, for example), you can opt out through the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on our site or by contacting us. See the detailed list of California rights in Section 11 of the Luvvitt Privacy Policy (above) for more information. You can exercise these rights by contacting us (Section 12). We will verify your identity and honor your requests as required by law.

Nevada Residents: Nevada law allows you to opt out of the sale of personal data. We do not sell data for monetary consideration, but you can still send us an opt-out request (see Section 12) to note your preference, and we will honor it if our practices change.

EU/EEA Residents: If GDPR applies, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability, as well as the right to withdraw consent (if we rely on consent) and the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. If you use our services from outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to the U.S. where laws may differ. We will take lawful measures (like standard contract clauses) to protect your data during transfer. By using our site, you consent to this transfer as described.
